Affordable Oregon Romantic Getaways Lodges

Sunday, October 23rd, 2011

Romantic Getaways in Oregon begin with the number one coastline in the country, attracting visitors from near and far. Long stretches of flat sandy beaches are offset by rugged rocky architecture and breath taking cliff high views. While the weather is often cold, windy, and wet, the contrasting beauty is always a good choice for a romantic getaway any time of year.

Your Oregon romantic getaway will likely begin by driving to the coast and crossing the Oregon coast range. Once you reach the highway, the best bet is to drive south to enjoy scenic vistas. The reason for driving South is that most of the scenic pullouts are on the right hand side of the road. Driving south enables you to quickly pull out and get back on the road without having to cross traffic.

Finding the most affordable Oregon coast hotels can be challenging with so much misleading information on the internet. Some sites are purely spam marketing, while some sites, such as www.OregonRomanticGetaways.com offer genuinely hand picked recommendations. Beware of sites that appear to have tons of traffic and rating systems for properties as these ratings are easily contrived and manipulated.

Top ammenities for Oregon Romantic Inns include an in room hot tub spa, waterfront view, and an in room fireplace. If you are not careful to shop around, sticker shock of these accomodations may kill your spirit. Wheeler on the Bay is an excellent smaller hotel option for budget minded getaways, with exceptional ammenities for fishing and wildlife enthusiasts. However, if you can afford lavish luxury, Whale Cove Inn offers multi million dollar condos for up to one thousand dollars a night.

Romantic getaways in Oregon also include some of the finest dining. Fresh seafood is available all year, with Salmon, Steelhead, and Halibut being frequent favorites. The Oregon coast is also plentiful with award winning breweries and local wines from the nearby Willamette valley.

Cannon Beach is one of the landmark towns on the coast with the most famous Haystack Rock formation just off the surf. Loaded with shops and restaurants, Cannon Beach will capture your heart, and likely your pocket book as well. Known for quality on all levels, this destination is typically on the higher end of the cost scale and not generally a great value.

On the Southern Oregon Coast, the town of Bandon seems like a lonely little oasys with a sense of time from the days of Hemmingway. For a place to hide out along a not well travelled path, this may be the perfect Oregon romantic getaway. The town is close to the bigger city of Coos Bay and near the famous Rogue river.

The town of Wheeler offers some of the most impressive values for romantic getaways on the coast, with immediate access to Nehalem Bay. The town offers excellent dining, and affordable waterfront lodging at Wheeler on the Bay Lodge. Fishing and crabbing are readilly accessible as well for family outtings. An often overlooked romantic exploration is to go kayaking and explore water, fish, and bird habitats from a close perspective.

One of the most exciting parts of the wedding process is getting to take a honeymoon. This is going to be a memory making trip even if you decide to play it low key. Make the most of your time together no matter what you decide to do. Here are some things to think about while you are in the planning stage.

Dont let anyone other than you and your spouse ultimately decide where you are going to go. The trip should be a decision that the two of you make and not some other relative. As you are creating this new family by getting married, so to should you be making your own decisions together from now on.

If and when the two of you have children, you will realize how precious this time alone is. You should make the most of it before you decide to expand your family. Once you start having little ones, you might not be able to take that European trip you have always wanted to.

Cruises are a romantic way to spend a luxurious week of fun and adventure with your new spouse. They are known for their outstanding hospitality. You will have so much fun on one that you will promise each other that you will make this a regular kind of vacation.

There is nothing wrong with taking a several hour drive to explore some part of your own country that you have always wanted to visit. If you tell people that you are on your honeymoon, you would be surprised at how much extra service you get and how much people are willing to go the extra mile for you.

There will be a lot of things that happen over the next several decades that are going to interfere with any vacation plans you had hoped to take. There will be canceled plans from time to time. You will have to deal with a more complicated life. Take advantage of your youth now to do something wonderful together that you may not be able to do when you are much older.

Someone suggest planning a All-Inclusive and Do Not Have a Perceptible clue where to Begin?

Monday, January 17th, 2011

Have you ever booked travel online? Do you wish there was a simpler way or at least just one site that would be able to get you everything you wanted? Well, I think I can help. I am typically the go to person that my friends use when they have questions about travel. But… I am getting tired of searching so many different sites for the best deals.

I literally spent hours on the computer sifting through all the travel webs will normally use. I had to take a break at one point. I was checking my email and a friend of mine had passed on a link to a travel web site. As it turns out, it was the answer I was looking for. Simply, this site encompasses everything to do with travel and the pricing was awesome.

Having spent many hours putting together copious vacations over the years for many of my friends, I find this new experience to be a blessing. It is time to reward yourself. Here are a couple of good rules to keep in mind as you travel and vacation. First, try to stick with one airline. Do this because you will build your frequent flyer miles faster. Use there credit card when buying everyday items. As a disclaimer, make sure you pay off the card monthly. I not saying to go spend what you don’t have. LOL Second, plan ahead, and if you can be flexible on your travel dates, you will save you money because flying on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in the US will give you more dates to use your frequent flier points.

Oh, and did I tell you about some of the cool perks you can get for free. Like I have been saying, membership has it’s privileges, and that goes here too. It takes a minute to sign up and presto, you in!

When you buy an airline ticket, (I know you will) every ticket comes with free stuff. Free travel insurance, concierge phone service, and no service fees. That’s cool. No other site offers anything like that.

Are you getting the picture about this opportunity. I am trying to pass along a little knowledge. Why not, it might just save you a lot of time and money. Anytime I can do that is a good day. So… go try your luck at it now. I bet you will be a believer like I am. Remember to tell your friends too. Have a great day!

Travel to Tanzania – the Paradise of East Africa

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

With an amazingly large number of animal parks, white sand beaches, a beguiling island and very hospitable people, Tanzania is definitely a top destination for those that seek to have an unforgettable travel experience. The Solid standing mountains surrounded by dense tropical forests, bird havens and ancient sites are all the more a compelling reason to take up your vacation in this expansive East African country.

What Serengeti National Park is to Tanzania can only be compared to the importance of Kenya’s Maasai Mara and Kruger National Park in South Africa. Home to over thirty-five species of plain thriving animals, the Serengeti spreads across an area of no less than fourteen thousand square Kilometres thus reaching all the way up to the Kenyan border. Animals found in this Park include lions, cheetahs, gazelles and the annually- migrating wildebeests that spectacularly do so between November and May.

Indeed the migration of the wildebeests was included among the Seven Wonders of the World and rightly so. The phenomenal and instantaneous exodus of the wildebeests in their thousands finds root in the quest for grazing land and a chance to mate. With Vicious Predators either laying in wait or in hot pursuit, the weak, the old and the too young stand very little chance of survival.

The Ngogongoro Conservation Area , rising high above the plains of Serengeti, spans from Lake Natron to Lake Enaysi to Lake Manyara. Resting in this Conservation Area is the active volcanic Mountain-Ol Doinyo Lengai, that in the beautiful Maasai language means Mountain of God and that whose last eruption was in 1983. The Ngorongoro crater is six hundred and ten metres deep, twenty kilometers in diameter and covers an area of three hundred and eleven square kilometers. Save for the Impala, the Topi and the Giraffe, this crater shelters the majority of plain dwelling mammals and it goes without saying that there is nowhere else in Africa that you will find as many predators concentrated in one area as in the Ngorongoro Crater. Should you decide to take a hike in this area, the sighting of the endangered Black Rhino should be most rewarding not to mention birdlife that includes flamingoes that are attracted to the area by the soda-containing crater floor.

Among Tanzania’s many wonderful Parks is the Selous Game Reserve that covers an area bigger than the entire of Switzerland and takes close to a sixth of Tanzania’s Surface Area. This is no wonder given that this Game Reserve is not only one of the biggest in the world but also is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a high concentration of elephants, lions and hundreds and hundreds of other wild animals.

Other parks in Tanzania include Lake Manyara, Gombe National Park, Udzungura Mountains, the Island of Rubondo, the Mahale Mountains, Katavi, Ruaha, Tarangire, Mikumi National Park and Arusha National Park. For those who are lovers of Marine life, Tanzania has many Marine Parks including Kilwa Reserve, Latham Island Reserve, Tanga Coral Gardens and Rufigi Delta. Tanzania also has got a number of proposed national Parks that include Saadani and Kizulo Plateau. As you can see, the options are many and no matter what your choices are, a trip to Tanzania will be most rewarding.

And now, how can the end of this article be neared without mentioning the challenge-tossing Tanzanian Physical feature that has attracted lots of tourists every year in the quest to climb the highest mountain in Africa? Mount Kilimanjaro, resting near Moshi with a spectacular snowy peak, is a good challenge for those who not only want to enjoy a spectactular view of Africa from the Peak but also have many tales thereafter of the wonderful experience in having conquering the highest mountain in Africa.

The Olduvai Gorge is a historical canyon spanning 50 km and 100metres deep and is also in the Ngorongoro Crater area. It has been the site for discovery of three different species of hominid fossils, with the oldest dating back 3 million years. Olduvai came as a result of a river that eroded rock in the area, subsequently exposing layers of volcanic soil in which Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the hominid fossils. A museum has been put up for you to view some of the ancient findings including the remains of a giant giraffe.

We cannot overlook Lake Tanganyika for the simple reason that it’s too grand. It’s the world’s longest and second deepest fresh-water lake. It is the gateway to the Gombe stream and Mahale Mountains National Parks and is central to the building of traditional dhow fishing boats. Make sure you check it out for the mesmerizing feeling that comes with looking at large masses of water.

Within these lines, there is one more place that you must pay a visit to: Zanzibar. This is no doubt one of Africa’s most renown and remarkable islands. This Indian Ocean Tropical Island is well known world over for white sandy beaches and a slow -paced way of life. The traditional dhow boats drifting amidst gently-swaying palm trees in the Zanzibar blissful breeze is a feeling that can only at best be remotely expressed by words. This Island has the allure of a paradise and the mystery of an out-of -this-world experience. Built on its fishing and spice trade, Zanzibar has not changed much and Arabic Influence has left its mark on the island’s architecture moreso in the historical Stone Town. To sum it up, Zanzibar speaks for itself!

Finally, in one sentence: Africa is blessed with many wonderful destinations, yet few of this beat Tanzania which you should seriously think of as you choose your next destination.
